100 Iconic Vehicles

Written by Mighty Max

Across all cultures, humans have a unique fascination with the things that take us to where we need to be. The admiration that we have for our vehicles is clear as day in popular culture, where the landscape is dotted with hundreds of muscle cars, horses, dinosaurs, submarines, and time machines. As long as we dream about places to go and adventures to have, we’ll be dreaming about the things that take us there, too. This infographic has picked out one hundred vehicles that are, in a word, iconic – of our desire to explore, of our wildest fantasies, and of the specific pop culture moments that we’ve created. Some of them are metaphorical characters, and instantly call to mind the creative works that they were a part of. Others, like KITT and the Magic School Bus, are literally characters with spoken dialogue! How many of these vehicles can you identify without looking at the key?
