TitleMax Payment Guide
When unexpected expenses arise, TitleMax can help you get same day funds at competitive rates. In many states, we even have options for how you can receive your funds, either through a check or through a Universe Silver™ Deposit account.
In addition, we offer a variety of payment methods. Whether your loan or pawn payment is due in 30 days or over several months, in-store or online, we make the payment process easy and convenient.
Your payment schedule will be determined when you take out a loan or pawn, and will be included in your agreement. Payment methods and late penalties will differ depending on the state where you opened your account.
How to Make a Payment for an In-Store Loan
To ensure a timely payment, please visit your local TitleMax store on or before your due date. We accept cash, certified checks, money orders, bank card & Western Union Quick Collect. Please note that we do not accept personal or business account checks. You can also make a payment through the online portal or our Mobile App via Direct Debit anytime, 24/7. Once your payment is processed, you will be provided a customer receipt. If you have any questions about payment methods, please contact your local TitleMax.
California Title Loan Repayment Options
On October 10, 2019, Governor Newsom signed a new law which significantly impacts our ability to meet your credit needs. The law which became effective on January 1, 2020 only impacts new loans made on or after January 1, 2020. It doesn’t change the terms of your loan or impact your obligation to repay your loan in accordance with its terms.
While TitleMax® is no longer offering new loans for our customers in the state of California, we’ve made it easy to continue to maintain your account and make a payment!
We are no longer able to take in-person payments. Please reference ways to manage your account below.
- Using the TitleMax Mobile App. You can view your account information or make a payment anytime or anywhere. The TitleMax App is available to download in the Apple Store and in Google Play.
- Logging into our customer portal on our website. You can view your account information and make a payment 24/7.
- Calling our dedicated California team at (714) 418-4943 and making a debit card payment over the phone.
- Visiting a MoneyGram® location to make a cash payment. PLEASE NOTE: Fees apply.*
- Mailing a cashier’s check or money order to TitleMax c/o California Team 2312 East Trinity Mills Road, Carrollton, TX 75006. PLEASE NOTE: The payment will be applied when received and not when mailed. If a payment is not mailed with sufficient mailing time, the payment may be applied after the due date.

How to Make a Payment for an Online Loan
If you have an online loan with us, then recurring payments are already scheduled through your bank account. You can check your balance, and change your payment details on the TitleMax Mobile App, or through the online portal.

The Importance of Timely Payments and Communication
We believe by working with our customers we can eliminate late payments and strengthen customer relationships. Communication is key. If you are ever behind and you will not be able to make your payment, please contact your TitleMax store to see what options may be available to you.
Paying on time avoids accruing additional interest, fees, or charges. In addition, paying on time avoids default and collection efforts, which means less for you to worry about. It is important that you re-review your contract and reach out to your local TitleMax with any questions.
