1 In order for you to be paid early, your payroll or benefits payment provider must submit the deposit early. It is important to note that your payroll or benefits payment provider may not submit the deposit or payment early each payment period. Be sure to ask your payroll or benefits payment provider when they submit your deposit information to the bank for processing. Early deposit of funds will begin upon the 2nd qualifying deposit. A qualifying deposit is defined as a direct deposit greater than $5.00 received from the same payer.

3 Transactions covered by overdraft protection are debit card transactions. We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay a transaction that could overdraw your account, your transaction will be declined. We will charge you a fee of $15 each time we pay a transaction that overdraws your deposit account by more than $15, up to 4 times monthly. The $15 fee will not be charged if your deposit account balance at the end of the day, after all items have posted, is brought back to a positive balance of $0 or greater. Please refer to your Deposit Account Agreement for additional details regarding fees.

4 To be eligible for enrollment in Optional Overdraft Protection an initial minimum qualifying direct deposit of $200 is required with a $200 direct deposit monthly thereafter.

Individuals who are approved for a loan or pawn, meet eligibility requirements, and pass identity verification have the option for the funds to be deposited into a Universe Silver™ Deposit Account. Accountholders will receive a temporary Universe Silver™ Debit Card. You will receive a permanent card personalized with your name in the mail within 7-10 business days.

You can deposit money to your account in a number of ways:

You can pay bills by going to our Pay Bill feature on the TitleMax® mobile app or online. You can look up the merchant, add the account number for your bill, and indicate the amount you want to pay. It’s that easy.

Universe Silver™ Visa® Debit Card

Use the Universe Silver™ Card everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. Simply present your card at the time of payment, choose “credit” to sign the receipt or “debit” to enter your PIN. When you use your card, your balance will be reduced by the full amount of the purchase, including sales tax and/or tip added.
The temporary card you receive in your TitleMax® store can be activated by calling the number in the welcome kit given to you at the store. You will receive a permanent card personalized with your name in the mail within 7-10 business days; you can activate it by calling the number on the activation sticker upon receipt.

You will receive instructions for setting up your PIN in your TitleMax® store at the time of activation. To learn how to change your PIN, please call the number on the back of your card.
You can check your balance right on your accounts page when you log in to the app and select your Universe Silver™ account.
We may approve purchase transactions that you request that create up to a $15 negative balance in your Account if you have a Direct Deposit Account or Direct Deposit Plus Account. You will not be charged a fee for use of the purchase cushion, though other applicable fees may apply to transactions that use the purchase cushion. Purchase cushion is offered to eligible accounts that are in good standing and have been open for at least 30 days, and we have confirmed you have completed at least one recurring direct deposit transaction in the Account. Bill pay, ATM withdrawals, and ACH debit transactions are not eligible for the purchase cushion. See the Universe Silver™ Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.

Using An ATM With Your Debit Card

There are no fees to withdraw cash from a Visa Plus Alliance Network ATM. To find the closest Visa Plus Alliance ATM, visit the TitleMax® mobile app or click here. No, you cannot withdraw cash at any ATM if you do not have enough money in your account.
Yes, if you are using a temporary card you may withdraw up to $400 per day. If you have a Direct Deposit Account or Direct Deposit Plus Account, you may withdraw up to $510 per day. See the Universe Silver Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.

Direct Deposit

Log in to your account using the TitleMax® mobile app or online and select Direct Deposit to download and print your pre-filled direct deposit form. Simply complete the form and submit to your employer or payer.
As long as your employer or payer offers Direct Deposit, you will be able to establish direct deposit using the routing and account number for your Universe Silver™ Deposit Account.

Optional Overdraft Protection

In order to be eligible for Overdraft Protection1 you must have a Direct Deposit Account, Direct Deposit Plus Account, Employee Account or Employee Plus Account that is in good standing and has been open for at least 30 days; we must be able to confirm you have completed at least one recurring direct deposit transaction of $200 or more; you consent to the delivery of electronic communications and provide a valid email address so that we can contact you if you overdraw your Account; you must enroll (opt-in) for overdraft protection; and you must have a positive balance at the time Overdraft Protection is initially activated for you. After activation of Overdraft Protection, you must continue to receive at least one recurring direct deposit of $200 or more every 35 days.2

Eligible account holders may enroll (opt-in) to Overdraft Protection in the mobile app. Overdraft Protection is an optional service.

Yes, a $15 fee will be charged for any debit card transaction that uses Overdraft Protection if there is not enough money in your Universe Silver™ Deposit Account to cover the transaction. If you eliminate the negative balance by depositing funds to the account within 24 hours of the transaction that was covered by Overdraft Protection and resulted in the negative balance, no overdraft fee will apply to that transaction.

If you have a Direct Deposit Account or an Employee Account, the overdraft fee applies to transactions that result in a negative balance of more than $15. If you have a Direct Deposit Plus Account or Employee Plus Account, the overdraft fee applies to transactions that result in a negative balance of more than $25. You will not be permitted to perform more than four transactions per month that use Overdraft Protection. See the Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.

Within 35 days of the creation of a negative balance, your account balance must be brought to zero or a positive balance. If you fail to deposit funds to bring your account to zero or a positive balance, your account will be available for deposit but will not be available for transactions. If after 90 days of the creation of the negative balance you fail to bring the account positive, we may close your account. See the Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.
