How Do I Make Purchases With My Debit Card?
To make a purchase, simply present your card at the time of payment, choose “credit” to sign the receipt or “debit” to enter your PIN.
How Do I Activate My Universe Silver® Debit Card?
The temporary card you receive in your TitleMax store can be activated by calling the number in the welcome kit given to you at the store. You will receive a permanent card personalized with your name in the mail within 7-10 business days; you can activate it by either calling the number on the activation sticker upon receipt or in the Universe Silver® Mobile App*.

With the Universe Silver® Mobile App, easily check your account balance to keep track of your spending, receive balance and transaction alerts*, freeze your card, find withdrawal and deposit locations, and easily access your card credentials in your phone to complete online purchases! You can also add your Universe Silver® Visa Debit Card to your digital wallet and pay where ApplyPay or Google Pay is accepted.
What Is A Purchase Cushion?
We may approve purchase transactions that you request that create up to a $15 negative balance in your Account if you have Direct Deposit Plus. You will not be charged a fee for use of the purchase cushion, though other applicable fees may apply to transactions that use the purchase cushion. Purchase cushion is offered to eligible accounts that are in good standing and have been open for at least 30 days, and we have confirmed you have completed at least one recurring direct deposit transaction in the Account. Bill pay, ATM withdrawals, and ACH debit transactions are not eligible for the purchase cushion. See the Universe Silver® Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.
What Happens If I Lose My Mobile Device?
If your device is misplaced, contact your mobile provider immediately and notify our Customer Service if you have concerns for unauthorized access to your accounts.
How Protected Is My Account on the Universe Silver® Mobile App?
Your account cannot be accessed without the required two factor authentication and fingerprint or Touch ID, providing you with extra safeguards against any unwanted activity.

Are There Any Fees for Using An ATM?
There are no fees to withdraw cash from a Visa® Plus Alliance Network ATM. To find the closest Visa Plus Alliance ATM, use the Universe Silver® Mobile App or visit the Visa Global ATM Locator. (Be sure to check the box for “Plus Alliance ATMs (U.S. only)” under the search bar.) Fees may apply for withdrawals and balance inquiries at Out-of-Network ATMs and International ATMs. See the Fee Schedule for complete details.
Can I Withdraw Cash If I Have Insufficient Funds In My Account?
No, you cannot withdraw cash at any ATM if you do not have enough money in your account.
Is There A Daily Limit to The Amount I Can Withdraw from An ATM?
Yes, if you are using a temporary card or have a non-Direct Deposit Account, you may withdraw up to $400 per day. If you have a Direct Deposit Plus Account, you may withdraw up to $510 per day. See the Universe Silver Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.

Does Universe Silver® Have Overdraft Protection?
How Does Overdraft Protection Work?
Overdraft protection has you covered if you spend more money than you have in your account – up to 4 times per month. A $15 fee will be charged for any debit card transaction that uses Overdraft Protection if there is not enough money in your Universe Silver Deposit Account to cover the transaction. If you eliminate the negative balance by depositing funds to the account within 24 hours of the transaction that was covered by Overdraft Protection and resulted in the negative balance, no overdraft fee will apply to that transaction.
How Do I Enroll In Overdraft Protection?
Universe Silver® accountholders4 with a monthly direct deposit of $500 or more are eligible to enroll (opt-in) in Optional Overdraft Protection on our mobile app for iOS and Android devices. You must consent to the delivery of electronic communications and provide a valid email address so that we can contact you if you overdraw your account. You must also have a positive balance at the time Overdraft Protection is initially activated for you.
What Happens If My Account Goes Negative?
If you fail to deposit funds to bring your account to zero or a positive balance within 35 days of the creation of a negative balance, your account will be available for deposit but will not be available for transactions. If after 90 days of the creation of the negative balance you fail to bring the account positive, we may close your account. See the Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.
Is My Money Safe with A Universe Silver® Deposit Account?
Universe Silver® is established by the Central Back of Kansas City, Member FDIC. You will also receive a Visa debit card with your Universe Silver account and can take advantage of all of Visa’s security features.
Are My Deposits Insured by the FDIC?
Yes, your deposits are FDIC insured up to $250,000 through Central Bank of Kansas City, Member FDIC.
Will I Be Held Responsible for Unauthorized Transactions Using My Universe Silver® Card?
Your Universe Silver® Card is protected by the Visa Zero Liability Policy5.
The Universe Silver® Deposit Account is established by Central Bank of Kansas City, Member FDIC. The Universe Silver® Debit Card is issued by Central Bank of Kansas City pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A., Inc. Certain fees, terms, and conditions are associated with the approval, maintenance, and use of the Card. If you have any questions regarding your Deposit Account or Card, you should consult your Deposit Account Agreement or contact us toll-free at 800-483-6634, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

3 Transactions covered by overdraft protection are debit card transactions. We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay a transaction that could overdraw your account, your transaction will be declined. We will charge you a fee of $15 each time we pay a transaction that overdraws your deposit account by more than $15, up to 4 times monthly. The $15 fee will not be charged if your deposit account balance at the end of the day, after all items have posted, is brought back to a positive balance of $0 or greater. Please refer to your Deposit Account Agreement and Fee Schedule for more information and additional details regarding fees.
